Overview<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This serves to inform all refugees youths and the host communities (nationals) in Kampala and its metropolitan areas about the available opportunities in Vocational skills training for the 3rd cohort. The opportunities are available in the following trades:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Catering and Bakery<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Mechanics<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Hairdressing<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Plumbing<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. Tailoring<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  6. Building and Construction<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  7. Wielding<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  8. Electrical installation<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  9. Shoemaking<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  10. Manicure and Pedicure<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Criteria<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    \u27a4 Must be between the age of 15-35 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \u27a4 Must be a registered refugee in Uganda (with attestation Form\/Refugee ID)or a Ugandan with a national ID<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \u27a4 Must have completed primary seven (P7), senior Four (4) or its equivalent<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \u27a4 Ready and willing to attend the skills training for a minimum of 6 months to qualify for DIT certification.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \u27a4 Must be ready and willing to sit for DIT modular assessment at the end of the training.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \u27a4 Must be of good conduct without any criminal record in the community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \u27a4 Must not be a former beneficiary of the same programme, only those who enrolled and dropped out of the programme can reapply<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \u27a4 Unaccompanied minors, orphans, child household heads, child mothers\/fathers, person with special needs are highly encouraged to apply<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    How to apply<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Interested youths can deliver their handwritten application letters addressed to the Education Coordinator – Kampala Southwest Area Office, fully endorsed by the resident LC1 chairperson or Community\/Refugee leaders to NRC access centres in Kabusu and Nsambya not later than 15\/07\/2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
