About Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University
Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University is one of the modern universities in Saudi Arabia, established by royal decree in 1430 AH (2009). The decree transformed the King Saud University branch in Al-Kharj into an independent university under the name “Al-Kharj University,” incorporating all colleges in Al-Kharj, Al-Dilam, Wadi Al-Dawasir, Hotat Bani Tamim, Al-Aflaj, and Al-Sulail. This initiative was part of the broader support provided by the Saudi government, under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, to education in general, and higher education in particular.
The university’s name was changed twice. The first name change, by royal decree, occurred on October 23, 1432 AH (September 1, 2011), renaming it Salman bin Abdulaziz University. Later, on Jumada al-Awwal 10, 1436 AH (March 1, 2015), King Salman bin Abdulaziz issued another order changing the university’s name to Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University.
The university aims to develop and prepare a national workforce, offering qualified and well-trained resources to meet the demands of the labor market and development needs. It also seeks to enrich scientific research and enhance graduate studies to address societal issues.
It is a Saudi University located in the city of Al-Kharj, Saudi Arabia.
